Project «EUROSTUDENT-V»

Project «EUROSTUDENT» is a long-term international research program of studying the thoughts and attitudes of students.
It was conducted four waves of the program in more than twenty European countries. The fifth wave of the program was completed in 2014. Ukraine first joined this program is the fifth wave. Institute of Social and Humanities Research KNU VNKarazin together with East Ukrainian Foundation for Social Research, Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine and the organizational and financial assistance of the Sociological Association of Ukraine was conducted by the project «EUROSTUDENT».
Polls Ukrainian students took place in March and May 2014 in thirteen regions. The survey was conducted in 42 high schools in thirteen regions (Kyiv, Dnipropetrovsk, Donetsk, Odessa, Kharkiv, Luhansk, Sumy, Kherson, Zhitomir, Poltava, Lviv, Chernivtsi, Lutsk). Students were interviewed using questionnaires in the classroom during class. Total number of respondents is 3696 persons. The survey involved students 1-5 courses of different specialties. According to national statistics, the proportion of students were identified to be questioned in various regions, public and private universities and different faculties. Specific Universities and student groups to be interviewed were selected at random. The survey involved only full-time students.
As a result, data were obtained, including about 250 key indicators that describe the broad areas: access to higher education, socio-economic living conditions during training, international mobility and more.
